Attention Club Leaders!
This year the Club Commission has had the opportunity to see all the amazing things your clubs have been doing, and it is time for us to recognize the outstanding work clubs at Nevada do. Nominations for club awards are open now, so take some time to nominate your own club or another club that has done awesome work this school year.
Nominations are due by midnight on April 13th.
To nominate either an individual or a club, write a short essay explaining why they should receive the award. Applications will be submitted online through the Online Club Award Nomination Form.
Below is a list of the awards to be given out this year. All awards will be distributed at the Clubs and Orgs Banquet in April.
Outstanding Club of the Year - Awarded to the club that demonstrated the most outstanding on-campus involvement, community service, leadership development, academic success, etc.
Outstanding New Club of the Year - Awarded to the club, founded between fall 2011 and spring 2012, that demonstrated the most outstanding on-campus involvement, community service, leadership development, academic success, etc.
Outstanding Sports and Recreation Club of the Year - Awarded based upon a combination of outstanding record, leadership, and athletic development.
Outstanding Service and Community Outreach Club of the Year - Awarded to the club that demonstrated the most outstanding community service
Outstanding Multicultural and Diversity Club of the Year - Awarded to the club that demonstrated the most outstanding diversity and multicultural development and awareness
Outstanding Pre-Professional/Academic: Arts, Business, Education Club of the Year - Awarded to the club that demonstrated the best career and academic development in the fields of arts, business or education
Outstanding Pre-Professional/Academic: Science and Engineering Club of the Year - Awarded to the club that demonstrated the best career and academic development in the fields of science or engineering
Outstanding Greek Club of the Year - Awarded to the fraternity or sorority that demonstrated the most outstanding on-campus involvement, community service, leadership development, academic success, etc.
Outstanding Club Leader of the Year - Awarded to the club officer that provided the most motivation to their club members and dedicated in upholding their respective responsibilities.
Outstanding Advisor of the Year - Awarded to the faculty advisor that made the most significant contributions to their respective club
Outstanding Club Member of the Year - Awarded to the club member, not in a leadership position, that went above and beyond to make significant contributions to the club
