Bio and Platform: Jacquelene Duhamel is a Freshman studying Psychology and Public Health in the Honors college. She has always enjoyed Science and is great full for the opportunities she has been given by the College of Science to further her passion by being a part of research projects and experimental studies on campus. After finishing her degree she plans on attending law school where she can combine her knowledge of public safety and advocacy as a prosecutor. She believes a background separate from just law will allow her a wider range of experiences, and can aid in her abilities to understand and deliberate issues and cases.
As a member of the Senate she would bring both her analytical mind via a science background as well as her abilities to recognize and sympathize with many students and problems. Her biggest goal if elected would be to bridge the gap between the general student population and their representatives invoking open communication and positive advancement at UNR. On campus Mrs. Duhamel Is involved with the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority which helps to fundraise for local and national CASA’s. She also volunteers with the Student Health Center. Off campus you can find Jacquelene enjoying the local Reno/Tahoe area hiking, paddle boarding, and snowboarding.
