As a judicial intern, she received valuable insight on ASUN rules and processes that she intends to bring forward as a Senator. Having previously served in student Government at her last college, she brings practical experience and innovative ideas to the Association. As a transfer student, Mackenzie wants to partner with ASUN to bring more opportunities for transfer students to be engaged on campus by partnering with the ASUN Department of Event Programming to create events where transfer students are a target audience. She wants to provide more career resources for those in the College of Liberal Arts, by working with the Career Studio and the College of Liberal Arts’ Applied Liberal Arts Initiative, to help students find more ways to utilize their degrees . Also a commuter student, she wants to ensure students are an active stakeholder when developing and expanding regional transportation systems, such as the existing EdPass system, because students should be able to live wherever is both comfortable and affordable for them during their time at Nevada. When Mackenzie is not on campus, she enjoys hiking with her dog and husband, and exploring Nevada.
