Emma Bergren

Senator for School of Public Health

Emma Bergren is currently a second year student studying Pre-Nursing and Public Health. If elected, this would be Emma’s third year in ASUN. As a Legislative Intern during the 88th session and a first year Senator for the 89th, Emma has embedded herself in this association and found her passion in many different fields. Emma has sat on the Safety, Sustainability and Wellness Committee, the Academics and Student Affairs Committee and has started the new Special Committee on Residential Life as Committee Chairwoman this session.

One of Emma’s many passions include affordable housing for all students in the Reno area, in addition to fulfilling and finding solutions to the food insecurity and our food desert also in the Reno area. Additionally, Senator Bergren obtains goals of pursuing legislation regarding more meal trade options in the Joe Crowley Student Union, affordable housing, and a new building for our now accredited School of Public Health. Just as the 89th session, outreach has been Senator Bergren’s number one priority. Advocating and connecting with students from the School of Public is a powerful and motivating passion, which creates Bergren a fantastic candidate within her college. By establishing liaisons with administration throughout her term, Emma has networked to communicate student concern. If elected, this would remain on Bergren’s agenda.

If elected, Emma Bergren hopes to remain a positive influence to others on campus mentally and physically by achieving her goals as a School of Public Health Senator.
