Jack Taglang

Senator for the College of Business

Jack grew up in Los Angeles and came to UNR to pursue his interest in business and better develop his education. Since attending here at Reno he has been active on campus, joining Greek life in Kappa Alpha Order as well as becoming a junior analyst for the Nevada Student Investment Organization and a member of the Business Student Council. Jack has participated in sports from a young age and was a captain on his varsity high school soccer team. While in quarantine as a way to make money, he created his own business washing windows and power washing around Los Angeles. Through these activities he has learned about leadership, discipline, and determination, which he plans to use to benefit the students he represents. Jack understands that a huge part about college is networking and meeting others, especially in the world of business. He is looking to foster an environment that promotes entrepreneurship and growth for the student community.

If elected, Jack’s main objectives would be to bring the business community together to gain more perspectives, and knowledge in the world of business. He wants career, internship, and networking opportunities more prevalent, because so much of life after college is your connections and who you know. The business world is full of a variety of options with intense competition. Jack wants to help students find their path and prepare and set them up for success.
