Liam Brown

Senator for School of Public Health

Liam Brown is a second-year student as a Public Health major and is looking to run for a seat for the School of Public Health. He plans to attend Paramedic School after he graduates and serve the community. Liam over the summers works as a Wildland Firefighter serving communities in Northern California. He loves nothing more than to be involved, as he is a part of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, having previously organized philanthropy events for them. Liam was also a legislative intern for the 89th Session, gaining valuable knowledge on how ASUN as an organization functions, and also gaining important insight into how the legislative body works.
Liam has several goals he wishes to accomplish if elected, with the first goal of trying to establish a single building for the School of Public Health, or have a new one built. He believes the pandemic and the recent accreditation of the school has shined a new light on the importance of the School of Public Health and the need for a dedicated building. He also wishes to improve Greek life on campus and work towards the reaffiliation of unaffiliated Fraternities. Parking is also another issue Liam promises to work on, with the goal of reducing costs and fine amounts. He would like to also increase the amount of student engagement in ASUN activities. Liam has a passion for serving others and is willing to work hard for his fellow students. He is excited to begin the process of helping create a better UNR for all of us.
