Every year, ASUN celebrates and rewards the clubs and organizations that go above and beyond in their respective fields. Because of that, we are pleased to announce the  2022 ASUN Club Winners.


Outstanding Pre-Professional Club Award ~ Beta Alpha Psi

The Zeta Iota Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi took home the Outstanding Pre-Professional Club Award. This coed fraternity prepares its members for the business world through professional lunches, film tours, and social activities. Find out more about them here.


Outstanding Campus Life Award ~ Nevada Student Ambassadors

You’ve likely seen these Wolf Pack members giving tours around campus. Maybe you even saw them recruiting at your high school. The Nevada Student Ambassadors are a group of volunteer students who work on recruitment for the university. Take a look at their website here.


Outstanding Multicultural and Diversity Club Award ~ Black Student Organization

The Black Student Organization works to give black students a sense of belonging on our campus. They hold various events such as barbecues, annual balls, and education presentations.  Find them on Instagram!


Outstanding Science & Engineering Club Award ~ UNR Aerospace

If you’re looking to learn more about aerospace engineering and work with a team to build an airplane or a rocket, this is the club for you. Find them on PackLife.


Outstanding Service & Community Outreach Club Award ~ Alpha Phi Omega

This coed fraternity seeks to give its member’s leadership skills, form lifelong friendships, and work with organizations that benefit humanity. Their mission is to create leaders who uphold their principles of leadership, friendship, and service. Find them on Instagram here.


Outstanding Social & Political Involvement Club Award ~ Planned Parenthood UNR Generation Action 

Planned Parenthood UNR Generation Action fights for reproductive rights and educates people on safe sex. Learn more about their activism and get involved on their website.


Outstanding Men’s Club Sport ~ Men’s Rugby 

This Club Sport puts both work on the field and in their community. They accumulated over 375 hours of community service and hosted two youth clinics. They’re always up to something, so make sure to follow their Instagram.


Outstanding Women’s Club Sport ~ Women’s Club Volleyball

The University of Nevada, Reno Volleyball Club is student-managed and competes within the NCVF Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League. To find out more visit Pack Life.


Outstanding CoEd Club Sport ~ University of Nevada Winter Sports Club

If you’re an experienced snowboarder or are just looking to learn how to ski, this club might be for you. They were recognized for this award due to their community service and competitive spirit. They have their upcoming events on their Instagram.


Outstanding MGC Award~ Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.

This Asian-interest sorority (but not Asian exclusive) is dedicated to promoting academic excellence and raising cultural awareness on the University of Nevada, Reno. Learn more about this group of amazing women on their site.


Outstanding Panhellenic Award~ Alpha Omicron Pi 

The Delta Nu chapter works hard to constantly better its members. They ensure that the wonderful women in their ranks are committed to a strong sense of character,  dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. Find out more about this sorority on their website.


Outstanding IFC Award ~ Sigma Tau Gamma

The Zeta Lambda chapter may be relatively new but is making great strides in our university. Their mission is to make sure the students that come into their ranks leave as noblemen, instilling the principles of learning, integrity, excellence, leadership, citizenship, and brotherhood in them. Most Club Funding Award ~ Women’s Club Lacrosse

These ladies brought in the big bucks! Going to every funding meeting this year, it’s no wonder they won the Most Club Funding Award. Keep up to date with their future fundraising events by following them on Instagram!


Outstanding Community Service Award ~ Nevada Circle K International

This organization works hard to serve the community. If you’re interested in gaining leadership roles, building relationships, and volunteering, you’ll want to check Circle K’s Instagram.


Club Pack Pride Award~ Wolf Pack Powerlifting

The Wolf Pack Powerlifting club provides a safe place for anyone who is looking to get into powerlifting. It also hosts events like the Battle of the Den 2 that allow for members to get a bit more competitive. If this interests you, check out their Instagram.


Best New Club ~ Human Development & Family Science Club

Aimed towards students with a major, minor, or interest in learning more about the human lifecycle, this club works to bring students together and give them valuable knowledge. In this club, students will work to improve the health of the Reno community. Check out what they’ve been up to on their Instagram.


Outstanding Club of the Year ~ Musical Therapy Club

With, recitals, playing at nursing homes, and over 3,000 volunteer hours in the local community, it’s no wonder the Musical Therapy Club won the award for Outstanding Club of the Year. They have plenty more planned, so keep up to date with them on Pack Life.


Best Program of the Year ~ Dance Marathon at the University of Nevada, Reno

This event raised over $18,000 for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. This money went towards charitable care, life-saving equipment, supporting medical research, and patient services. Learn more about this cause on their website.


Club Engagement Award ~  Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc.

Kappa Delta Chi is a Latina-founded sorority that aims to achieve professional development, academic excellence, and the graduation of its members. Stay up to date with the Alpha Eta chapter and their events on their Instagram.


Best Civic Initiative Award ~ Nevada Blue Key Honor Society

Blue Key Honor Society recognizes college students for academic excellence and service. They base their membership of scholastic achievement and service to others. Watch out for their upcoming fundraisers and service events on their Instagram.


Leadership Excellence Award ~ Wolf Speaks

Whether it be with slam poetry or receiving the Leadership Excellence Award, Wolf Speaks can’t seem to keep themselves off the stage. This club focuses on learning how to write poetry, present it, and, most importantly, expressing yourself. Check their Instagram for any upcoming open mic nights.


Professional Development Award ~ Economics Club

The economics club gives students a place to learn about various elements of the professional world. It helps them grow and get the most out of their time as a student with educational workshops. Learn more about them and get into contact on Pack Life


Club Leader of the Year Award ~ Elsie Childress

Elsie Childress won Club Leader of the Year for her work in the UNR Winter Sports Club. There are two achievements during her time in the club that she is proud of. The first is that she is a member of the alpine ski team and has represented our university 3 times in the USCSA National Championships. Secondly, she created the Learn to Ski Program, which provides free ski days to low-income UNR students. The Winter Sports Club gave 20 students the opportunity to ski for the first time.

Outside of the Winter Sports Club, she is the president of CABNR Ambassadors and is double majoring in environmental science and rangeland management. When she graduates in December, she is planning to work for the US Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
