We’re going to be painting the town blue this month with Homecoming 2022. Between October 17th-22nd, there will be something new happening every day. On this blog post, you’ll find all the information you’ll need.
Sound Body, Sound Mind
October 17th, 2022
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Knowledge Center Lawn
Exams, projects, and multi-chapter readings, oh my! The pressure is mounting as we get deeper into this semester! This Monday, let’s take some time to destress and learn some coping mechanisms for when school gets overwhelming. At the KC Lawn, we’ll have yoga and massages for students. The Wiegand Fitness Center, Department of Wellness, Counseling Services, and ASUN will have panels to show you how you can use their resources when times are tough. Finally, there will be free food, drinks, and wellness items provided to students!
College is a stressful time, but we’re here to assist you through it! If you ever find yourself needing help, check out our Counseling Services or our University Tutoring Center.
Lip Sync Battle

7 – 9 p.m.
JCSU Theater (Third Floor of the Joe)
Do you have what it takes to be a Lip Sync Champion? Now is your time to shine! Compete against other groups and fellow peers in Nevada’s first ever Lip Sync Battle! The event will take place Tuesday, October 18 from 7PM- 9PM. The location is the Joe’s Theatre. Sign up using Pack Life! Teams must be 6 people or less!
Bleed Silver and Blue

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Gateway Plaza and Knowledge Center Rotunda
We bleed silver and blue every day we show our Nevada pride, so why not put it towards a good pause? In front of the Joe and Knowledge Center Rotunda, we’ll be hosting a blood drive at 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.. Students who donate will receive a free t-shirt! There will be food and drinks from local vendors as well as a famer’s market. The farmer’s market will take place from 11 a.m. – 3 pm and local vendors will be there from 12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m..
Howl Fest
October 20th, 2022
7:30 – 9 p.m.
Knowledge Center Lawn
Join us for Howl Fest on October 20th from 7 PM-9:30 PM at the KC Lawn! Meet clubs, Pack Friendly Businesses, and other University orgs with games and activities. Enjoy our transition into the fall season with this carnival-style event, which will end with fireworks sponsored by our Nevada alumni!
Pack Midtown
October 21st, 2022
5 – 9 p.m.
Various Locations in Midtown
Join the University of Nevada, Reno alumni in the Midtown District for the Homecoming Celebration! There will be multiple tailgates hosted in various locations around Midtown for you to attend at 5 – 7 p.m.. The Nevada Alumni Association will be ending the night with a celebration in front of Whispering Vine in The Stick parking lot at 7 – 9 p.m.. There will be music, giveaways, special guests from Wolf Pack Athletics, and so much more!
All tailgate parties are open to the public.

Nevada vs. San Diego State Football Game

Mackay Stadium
The Wolf Pack is going to be facing off against San Diego State to wrap up Homecoming 2022! Come out and support our football team as they dominate the field. Students of University of Nevada, Reno are able to get in for free! You can also buy tickets here.
Make sure to review the Stadium Policies before you come out and support the Wolf Pack. You can see some of the policies below.
- Clear bag policy
- Food items may be brought into the stadium in clear, one-quart plastic zip-lock bag. Only one bag per ticketed fan.
- One 20 oz. sealed clear plastic non-flavored water bottle will be permitted in the stadium. Only one bottle will be permitted per ticketed fan.
- No metal, aluminum or glass containers for food or beverages will be permitted. Thermos containers or those similar in style will not be permitted.
- Sealed, single-serving juice boxes and baby formula/baby food are permitted.
- No backpacks, large bags or hard coolers will be permitted in the stadium. (see also: Clear Bag Policy)
- Stadium cushions and blankets may be brought into the stadium as long as they do not exceed the maximum size of 16″t X 16″w X 9″.
