Bio and Platform: As a candidate for the College of Business Senate position within the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN), Talan is someone with a passion for leadership and advocacy, who aims to better represent many of the diverse needs and interests of the students in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno.
One of Talan’s main goals is to help students by advocating for better academic resources by trying to ensure that students have access to the tools and support necessary to succeed both in and out of the classroom. He believes that by improving networking and professional growth opportunities with industry leaders and alumni will help to prepare students for life after graduation.
In addition, Talan is committed to increasing student engagement within the College of Business by encouraging participation in student organizations, events, and initiatives. He hopes to work with faculty, staff, and fellow students in order to help close the gap between student needs and university resources in hopes that students develop a sense of community and shared purpose.
Talan has a strong vision for the future and a clear emphasis on student success. He is eager to serve as a representative in the College of Business Senate, working to make the University of Nevada, Reno an even better place for everyone.
