Bio and Platform: Jaiden Harrington (She/Her) is an undergraduate in the School of Social Work and a recent transfer to UNR. She entered this course of study because she has a passion for people and knows that each person has their own unique and valuable story. The strength of this conviction motivates her to approach all situations with empathy, compassion and a commitment to leaving the world around her a better place one day at a time.

Jaiden understands that student life can be challenging, especially for those of marginalized backgrounds or difficult stories, and as such aims to serve each student with empathy and competence to make their time studying at UNR rewarding.

Jaiden believes that the code of ethics social workers swear to uphold provide perfect building blocks for fostering student success and university development, and can be applied to suit the needs of the student body.


These values include service, social justice, integrity, competence, the dignity of and worth of all people, and the importance of human relationships.


With this in mind, it is her goal as a senate member to uplift underserved voices, advance mental health support for students and staff, advocate for broader community engagement, and improve campus safety.

She will not back down from a struggle, and loves to hear unique or unprecedented ideas from her fellow classmates. Jaiden knows your community is invaluable, and will take care to engage with all community leaders and members, as well as back those communities in their endeavors.
