Bio and Platform: Grace Miller is a dedicated undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is on the pre-med track with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She is representing the College of Science along with being a member of the Honor’s College. With 75 credits so far, she has an insight into the opportunities and challenges of the students around campus. Her passion for advocacy and enhancing student life drives her to this position. Grace believes in fostering collaboration between the university leaders and the student body. The student’s concerns should not go unheard in any aspect, whether that is academic, social, or extracurricular. Resources should always be available and at the hand of every student who needs it. Expanding mental health initiatives and improving research opportunities are two of Grace’s main goals. As an Asian-American student, Grace also advocates for inclusivity and making sure everyone feels comfortable, no matter their background or ethnicity. Stronger representation for underrepresented student communities is something Grace is very passionate about. Students should feel welcome in aspects, including how they enjoy spending their free time. The University has many different clubs and groups where people find shared interests and spend quality time. Having a group of people who you can meet and share your interests with is something that should be available and easy to find for the student body. Grace plans to attend the University of Nevada, Reno until she gets her Bachelors of Science degree, and then possibly continue through the University’s Medical School.
