Bio and Platform: As a College of Business student, many things need to be done in the College of Business I would be able to do this as a representative. Having goals and ambitions is what is part of being of the College of Business. There needs to be resources in place to ensure a strong college and that our students succeed. Some of these things include advocating for expanded tutoring services specific to business courses. This would help to enhance that there is more one-on-one help for students to meet their needs. There needs to be a push for additional professional development workshops to enhance the College of Business’s resources and to better the students in the College of Business. There would be a time to organize networking events with alumni and local business leaders, this would ensure that our students can make connections for jobs that can last long after graduation. There also needs to be an advocate for an improved mentorship program with professionals in various industries to help students achieve what they want in their career goals. First-year students and transfer students are essential to create a strong college of business. By doing this I would create initiatives to engage first-year students and transfer students in business clubs and develop diversity-focused panels and events to promote inclusivity in business leadership. Having more resources to study would ensure that the students in the College of Business would be more successful, by doing this there would be a push for updated study spaces and better technology in business classrooms.
