Bio and Platform: Kaylee Radtke is a third-year student majoring in social work who is dedicated to ensuring that all social work student voices are heard at the senate table and beyond ASUN. Kaylee is a proud 3rd-generation Nevadan who cares deeply for Nevada and UNR. Kaylee plans to attend Law School to help individuals further and help create meaningful policy change.

Kaylee served as the 93rd session senator and plans to keep her drive and motivation to help all social work students in the 94th session. Kaylee believes that all students should feel empowered to voice their concerns openly and get involved in a student government that exists to support them. She strongly believes that the Social Work Code of Ethics, which includes service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence, is an essential part of what should be brought to the student government and the School of Social Work. These fundamental ideas are the foundation of Kaylee’s platform and what she wants to bring to the social work students. Being able to help and understand the needs of social work students is essential in the values Kaylee holds dear to her heart.

During her time as a senator, Kaylee has supported the protection of UndocuPack, fought for the profession of social work to remain classified as a professional career, and has completed outreach to recognize the diverse perspectives of different students and faculty. This included talking to social work students, creating college-wide events, and listening to the perspectives of different voices. Kaylee also serves as the President of the Social Work Student Advisory Board, in which she helps bridge gaps between faculty and students. The board provides social work students with a space to voice concerns and collaborate within the college.

Vote Kaylee Radtke for a sense of community, inclusivity, and dependability.
