Bio and Platform: Mitchell Potter is a current Senator for the School of Public Health and is aiming for re-election to continue representing public health students in the Associated Students of the University of Nevada, Reno. During his previous term, Mitchell has prioritized student health and safety by using an evidence-based and prevention-focused approach. His platform strives to center on expanding access to wellness resources and to act as a bridge between public health students and faculty. The goal is to build on progress made during his current term by advocating for things such as professional opportunities and internships, along with applied learning experiences for students. He is committed to open communication and student engagement, with policies that are grounded in principles of public health. Mitchell looks forward to continue serving the students and the School of Public health by working towards a safer, healthier and more connected campus community.
