RESULTS YOU CAN BEAR. Anna Barrus in her past term as Senator has worked on important pieces of legislation and supported those that reflect the best outcome for our student body. As a first generation student herself, Barrus continues to strive for success for her peers, and continues to advocate for all students. Barrus passed "S.R. 93: A Resolution in Support of Priority Funding for TRIO Programs". This resolution affirms the value that these programs bring to UNR, and ensures they continue to support our students during the time of their undergraduate/graduate careers.
Barrus finds tremendous value in supporting the health of her peers. Last semester, Barrus co-authored a piece, “S.R. 93: A Resolution in Support of the Student Health Center Fee Increase”. It is vital students have the resources they need in order to be successful, and having a healthy body and mind is a vital piece. Students need to be able to have access for affordable and quality healthcare, something Barrus plans to do as she finishes up her current term. Currently Barrus is working on an initiative to bring an Emergency Contraceptive (EC) Vending Machine onto UNR’s campus. Bringing a lower cost, confidential, and accessible way to ensure students can continue to be safe.
BARRUS for a STRONGER, HEALTHIER TOMORROW.
