Position: College of Science (4 Senate Seats)
Email: ddanamidis@gmail.com
Academic College: College of Science
Expected Date of Graduation: 05/18/2027
Bio and Platform: David believes students deserve strong representation, meaningful support, and opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. As a neuroscience major, David understands how intensive coursework, labs, research, and work can be. His goal for senator is to push for increased access to academic resources , as well as career opportunities and relevant experience for students. Too often, students aren't able to access the resources they need to grow, and he wants to help change that. Students are the backbone of UNR and their ideas will always be welcome with him.
David is dedicated to lowering unnecessary financial burdens for College of Science students and promoting transparency in how the College manages its resources and finances. Science majors already have substantial costs due to lab fees, course materials, and equipment. They need transparency and accountability about where their money goes. David will advocate for cost-cutting measures that directly benefit students, such as open-access educational resources and increased access to shared lab items.
David is focused on ensuring that College of Science students graduate not only with a degree, but with the skills, experience, and confidence needed to be successful beyond the classroom. As senator, David will advocate for stronger career preparation within the College of Science. This includes access to internships, research, shadowing opportunities, and healthcare partnerships. Graduation should mark the beginning of opportunity, never uncertainty.
David is excited to run for your College of Science Senator and will ensure every students' voice is heard.
