Bio and Platform: Faith Strabala is a Northern Nevada native with a deep appreciation for the University of Nevada, Reno and the students who shape its campus community. She is running to represent the College of Liberal Arts in the ASUN Senate because she believes students deserve a university that supports them as whole people, not just as academic statistics.
Faith’s platform centers on care, access, and opportunity. She believes mental health resources should be accessible, timely, and treated as essential to student success. College can be demanding, and students deserve reliable support systems that help them navigate academic pressure and personal challenges.
She is also committed to reducing financial barriers for students in the College of Liberal Arts. Rising education costs should not limit a student’s ability to learn and participate fully. Faith supports creating a textbook pass-down program to help students share resources, lower expenses, and make education more affordable.
In addition, Faith advocates for stronger networking and career pipeline opportunities, particularly for humanities students. She believes every major deserves meaningful guidance and professional connections that help students feel prepared and confident as they move beyond graduation.
Above all, Faith believes safety must be a given on campus. No student should ever feel unsafe in their learning environment. Accountability, care, and transparency are non-negotiable. Through thoughtful, student-centered leadership, Faith Strabala is committed to listening to students and representing the College of Liberal Arts with integrity and purpose.
