Bio and Platform: From Las Vegas, Nevada, Fayza Salah is a first-generation, third-year Neuroscience major. While her academic journey has evolved, her commitment to making a meaningful impact on campus and beyond has only deepened. As a proud student of the Honors College, Fayza is committed to pursuing medical school after graduation. Fayza's dedication to medicine and her commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals prompted her service as President of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), leading efforts to cultivate a collaborative culture among aspiring medical professionals. Outside of the classroom, Fayza is deeply invested in leadership and civic engagement. As the current ASUN Speaker of the Senate, Fayza leverages her experience in the legislative branch to spearhead student advocacy by setting the tone for the branch that writes new laws and unifies student recommendations to the community. Previously a senator for the College of Science, she possesses a deep understanding of university dynamics, legislative procedures, and diverse student needs, shaping the agenda and influencing the process to address them effectively.

In unity with Vice Presidential candidate, Isabella Valdivieso, the YOUR Nevada campaign strives to build a campus community that creates an empowering environment for students that intentionally focuses on the individual student experience that makes your time at Nevada, uniquely yours.

YOUR Nevada will center students with:

1. Challenging the Status Quo: Empowering YOU to break out of the box that institutions place us in by redefining limiting power structures and focusing our resources on YOUR needs.

2. Impact and Intention: focusing on the issues students repeatedly voice to ASUN and university administration, but that often fall to the side.

3. Advocacy with empathy, compassion, and community: streamlining communication to make sure YOUR Nevada accurately represents YOUR needs as ASUN works to serve YOU.
