Bio and Platform: Michael Nubel is a sophomore majoring in finance and economics, running to serve as your College of Business Senator. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Michael has built his college experience around leadership, service, and strengthening the Wolf Pack community. He has served as Vice President of Peavine Hall, President of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and as an ASUN Senate intern, gaining firsthand experience in student advocacy and student government.
As a relatively new participant in ASUN, Michael brings a fresh perspective—one focused on practical solutions, accountability, and results. His approach is driven by a genuine commitment to service and a belief that student government should work for everyday students, not just insiders.
Michael’s campaign is centered on three core principles:
Academic & Career Readiness—
Michael believes every student deserves access to a high-quality education and meaningful career opportunities. As College of Business Senator, he will work collaboratively with the Dean’s Office, university administration, and community partners across Northern Nevada to expand access to internships, professional development, and career pathways—especially for students who have historically been overlooked.
Building Wolf Pack Pride—
Michael is committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment within the College of Business. He wants to help students navigate their academic journeys earlier and more confidently, while challenging outdated stereotypes about business students. His goal is to ensure that the dedication and hard work of College of Business students are recognized and celebrated.
Mission-Driven Leadership—
Michael believes student government must be accountable, transparent, and responsive. He will prioritize real student concerns—such as tuition and fee increases—and ensure that the College of Business delegation within ASUN advocates forcefully and cohesively for students’ shared interests. Every vote and every piece of legislation, he believes, should be guided by what best serves students.
Michael Nubel is running to bring principled, mission-driven leadership to ASUN and to ensure the voices of College of Business students are heard, respected, and acted upon. Vote Nubel for a New Deal!
