Expected Date of Graduation: 05/14/2027
Bio and Platform: Natalie Palmer is a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Public Health and Biology. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Natalie chose to attend UNR because of its strong sense of community, school spirit, and commitment to student involvement. Her campaign, “For the Pack. With the Pack.”, reflects her belief that student government should be accessible, accountable, and built around the voices of the students it serves.

Natalie currently works as a bank teller and at a ski resort, experiences that have shaped her understanding of responsibility, teamwork, and balancing demanding commitments. As one of four siblings, including a twin brother, she values collaboration and communication, skills that have guided her leadership throughout her time at Nevada.

Natalie has been deeply involved in campus life through her service as a Student Ambassador, a member of Pi Beta Phi, a Programmer within ASUN, and a Senator representing the College of Science. During her time in the Senate, Natalie worked to strengthen communication between students, her college, and the Dean, helping ensure that student concerns were heard and addressed. As a programmer, she gained firsthand experience organizing large scale campus events and learned what it takes behind the scenes to create meaningful experiences that bring students together and foster school spirit.

Through her role as a Student Ambassador, Natalie has worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, majors, and life experiences. This exposure has given her a clear understanding of the diverse demographics that make up the University of Nevada, Reno and the different challenges students face, including commuters, transfer students, first-generation students, and those from underrepresented communities.

These experiences have shaped Natalie’s platform, which focuses on three core priorities. First, she is committed to protecting students’ financial investment by advocating against unnecessary fee increases, increasing transparency around how student fees are allocated, and ensuring students are aware of and able to access the resources they already pay for. Second, she aims to expand opportunity for every student by supporting equitable access to campus resources, uplifting underrepresented and marginalized students, and ensuring student voices from all backgrounds are represented in decision making. Third, Natalie is dedicated to strengthening the Wolf Pack community by supporting clubs and organizations, expanding inclusive campus wide events, improving communication between ASUN and the student body, and fostering a campus culture where students feel connected, heard, and proud to be part of Nevada.

Natalie is running for ASUN President to ensure that every student feels represented, heard, and valued. She believes strong leadership begins with listening and that the best decisions are made when students are included in the process. Through collaboration, transparency, and service, Natalie is committed to building a stronger ASUN that truly works for the Pack, with the Pack.
