Bio and Platform: Zion Price is an Honors College student running for ASUN Honors College Senator with a focus on transparency, access, and ensuring that Honors student fees directly benefit Honors students.
Zion's platform includes seeing that the new fee structure ensures that all fee revenue goes back to student programs. Zion will establish an Honors Experience Grant Fund which will create additional funding for research projects, conference attendance, internship programs, study-abroad activities, and professional development.
He supports detailed reporting which will show students how their fees are spent and what benefits those fees bring to the Honors community.
Zion will establish academic and career development tools which will help Honors students who are interested in law and public policy fields. His goals include hosting pre-law and policy workshops, building mentorship partnerships with local legal and public service professionals, and increasing access to internships and shadowing opportunities.
Zion also proposes a Graduate School Mentorship Program to help Honors students navigate the cost and complexity of applying to graduate and professional schools. This program would combine financial support with mentorship from experienced professionals across a range of fields.
Zion believes the Honors College should be a launchpad for opportunity, not a barrier due to cost or lack of information. His campaign development process focuses on establishing student governance systems which distribute resources fairly and produce meaningful accomplishments for Honors students.
